DeQuervain Tenosynovitis

Thursday, I went in for surgery on my left wrist.  I have a type of tendinitis (DeQuervain Tenosynovitis) that is fairly common in new mothers. I hadn’t ever heard of it either until I went to the orthopaedic doctor, but apparently, it is fairly common!  I had my right wrist done about 6 months ago and it has healed quickly, so hopefully in about a week or two I will be back in top shape. (Until the next thing happens...I hate getting old!!!)

Wow - that looks crazy! Painful?? I hope it's not too unbearable... Looks like you had a tatoo job done, or a run in with purple markers!

Good grief, girl! I'm so sorry you have to go through that ordeal. I've never heard of that being common in new mothers. What's that all about? At first glance, I thought you had gone all hippie on us and had a tattoo on your wrist until I saw that it read, "yes." I guess the doctor didn't want any lawsuit on his hands for going for the wrong limb :) Good luck with the recovery!!!

How are you doing? It looks worse than the first one did. Sorry I haven't checked on you sooner. I have been sick as a dog...apparently in my old age I have developed allergies...who knew? Hope you're coming home soon. We miss you!

When I pulled up your blog I thought..tattoo..at first, too! I'm glad Chels thinks the same way! Actually, before I read the title, I was trying to figure out what your 'tattoo' said! Haa haa!

The whole surgery thing doesn't sound very fun but hopefully you're doing better!
