Random Ramblings

I have not been keeping up with the cute things that Addison has been saying lately. It kind of makes me sad/mad at myself. I hope that all of you can forgive me as well.

4/23 - I had had a super bad head cold the day before. I think it was a just a build up of sinus pressure. (Gotta love allergy season!) While Addison and I were laying in bed trying to wake up, she gingerly placed her hand on my cheek and asked "Are you all better Mama?". I love, love, love what a tender little heart this girl has.

4/23 - Addison and I were shopping with Papa at Kohl's and there was another woman there with a little girl about Addison's age. When we were preparing to leave, the woman started calling "Addison. Addison." Addison stopped looked at me and asked "Why is that lady calling me, Mama?"

4/26 - Addison has had a hard time with her daddy being away. She has cried everynight before bed for her daddy. And whenever she gets into trouble for something that she knows she shouldn't be doing she starts crying "I want my daddy!". This morning as I was driving into town, Addison piped up in the backseat out of the blue "I'm not going to cry for daddy today, Mama." I started to laugh from the frontseat when Addison asked me "Are you laughing at me Mama?" All I could say in between my giggles was "No, I'm not laughing at you. I am just very glad that I'm your Mama."

4/27 - I was cleaning up the dishes and scrubbing down the sink when Addison told me that she needed to watch me. She grabbed one of her little chairs and dragged it over to the sink where I was standing. All of the sudden I hear "Good job Mama! Good Job!"

4/27 - Tonight the power went out WHILE Addison was in the bathtub. Thank goodness I was right there. I can't imagine what would have happened if I weren't because Little Chica totally started freaking out saying "Mama, where are you? I can't see yours face." {I love how she adds S's onto her words.} Once I got her out of the tub, I saw the pilot light for our fireplace glowing from the living room. I wasn't sure whether or not it would work and give us some light since you have to turn it on from a wall switch, but miraculously it worked! Once I got the fireplace going, I went to find a flashlight. The only one we have is a princess on that her little friends Carson and Julia gave her. The batteries were dead and while I was changing the batteries in the flashlight, I heard Addison exclaim "Mama! I see a couch! Mama! I see you!!!" Once I got Addison settled down and she realized that we can see with the flashlight, she totally took the lead. She grabbed the flashlight and said "follow me". I asked her where we were going and she said "to yours room." When we got to my room, she told me that we were okay and that "there aren't any monsters in here." Thank goodness!!! We climbed into bed and I could tell she was still a little terrified. We said a prayer and while I was helping her say her prayer, she started whimpering and crying a little bit. I snuggled next to her and she held me tight while she fell asleep. I moved a little away from her to grab my cell phone which was vibrating because a text had come in. She grabbed ahold of me tightly and said "don't go Mama. Don't go". I'm not going anywhere little one. I love my little girl and am so glad that I get to be her Mama!

4/28 - I have this HUGE addiction to a Facebook game called "Bubble Town". It is insane how addicted I am to it. While Addison was in the tub, I grabbed my laptop and started playing while also keeping an eye on her. After a few minutes of me playing this was the question Addison asked me "Mom, are yous playing your dumb game again?"

4/29 - I think Addison is so used to having me around because after we picked Randy up from the airport {YAY!!!}, she would only talk to me. She kept asking me "Mommy? Daddy driving?" Mommy, where's Daddy's house?" It was really quite cute to hear her ask me questions about her Daddy when he was sitting right there!

I Can't Believe I Forgot... post that Randy is coming home tomorrow!

For good!!!

His last day with Schlumberger is tomorrow. It is kind of bittersweet. I am so thankful for the job that he has had for the past four years and for all the security it has given to both me and my family. But I am so excited to have Randy home. I joke that he finally gets to move into our new house!

Randy will be starting with Proctor & Gamble Monday morning. It will be nice for him to only have to commute 40 minutes a day {20 each way} and to have time with his little girl. We have both missed him so much!

Thank you so much Randy for all the hard work that you do for our family and the sacrifices you have made for us!

We love you so much!!!

I have lost a lot of interest in blogging lately. Can you tell? I am not wanting to blog (I think because I don't have a camera. I don't want to brag about my beautiful, amazing daughter without photos to share.) And I am not really reading any ones blogs either. (Sorry, if my lack of commenting offends you. I don't mean to offend.) I have found the camera that I want, but now I just need to talk Randy into letting me buy it. Silly guy! He keeps talking about finances and saving money. All of which are foreign to me! LOL Hopefully when (and if) I get my new camera, I will be back in blog working order! :)

As for the new baby. Things are progressing well. I am now 17 weeks. I went in for my monthly appointment last Monday and the nurse who was checking could not find the baby's heartbeat. No exaggeration here, it took her four plus minutes to find this little buggers heartbeat. The heart rate is 155 beats per minute. So far, this has been a fairly easy pregnancy. I have not hardly been sick at all! Which is fantastic! I have had a lot of headaches and backaches, but I think that is to be expected in any pregnancy. We find out on May 12th (tenatively) what the baby's sex is. I am totally the type of person that needs to know. I figure that you get three surprises in pregnancy. 1. You find out that your pregnant 2. In the middle of your pregnancy, you find out the baby's gender and 3. At the end of your pregnancy, you get the surprise of your little baby. I think #3 is the best surprise of all. I am so stinking anxious to find out what this little baby's personality is and am super excited to see what it looks like! If you are looking to Addison to be a baby predictor, don't! She changes her mind every single day! Today, she wants the pink baby in mommy's tummy to come out.

Here are some pictures (taken by Damma Bef's camera) of my cute little girl. I can not believe how big she is getting. She was sitting in the tub last night and I thought her legs would go on forever. I am so glad she is growing and healthy, but I wish she would just grow a little bit slower than she is.

Addison is showing off our little strawberry garden that we planted. Okay, really she is just showing off the ladybug pinwheel that Damma Bef got her for Easter.
Don't those plants look divine? I am just so proud that something we planted is growing. There may be hope for our garden after all.
Addison just thought she was the bee's knees being on her Papa's new boat. She really didn't want to get down.
We went to the Discovery Museum at the Gateway Mall for Sierra's birthday. Here are a few of my favorite shots of Addison playing. We haven't been to Disneyland yet, but in her mind, this is the greatest place on earth!
She just happens to climb on everything!
And I do mean everything!
Addison and her Mama
Is this not the cutest frog ever? Most kids like to play puppy or kitty, but Addison has always liked to play frog. When she saw this costume, she just had to put it on!
I promise to keep you all updated more often on the goings on around here.

Please also let me know what you think this baby is going to be. Boy or girl? I'd love to know what you think.

3/20 - Let me set the stage: Addi and I were driving in Daddy's car (my old Ford Escort). The Escort doesn't have the factory tinted windows that my Expedition has, nor does it have the room, so Addison's car seat was placed next to the window in the backseat instead of the middle seat like it is in the Expedition. Addison is kind of a drama queen and doesn't like the sun to be in her eyes while we are in the car. The sun is fine when we are outside playing, but heaven forbid the sun be in her eyes in the car.
Anywho, the sun was in her eyes and I handed Addison her cute little sunglasses. They apparently were not working to her liking, so she started screaming at the sun "GO AWAY SUN! GO AWAY!". I said to Addison "Be nice to the sun, we love the sunshine!" Addison's response to me was (said very dramatically, mind you) "I don't love the sun! You love the sun! I love the moon!"
3/24 - Addison has a cute pink play princess phone. The cute little girl ran into my room where I was and held her phone up to me and said "I need to call the mermaid now. Okay mom?"

***Took time off to be with family. I forgot to write down Addi's funnies!***

4/7 - I told Addison that we should get in the tubby because it was getting late and her eyes were starting to look tired. She looked at me with bright, wide open eyes and said "There not tired! Look! See!"
