My Favorite Things

I was putting Addison to sleep this evening in my bed (we are still at my parents) and she was a little fidgety and fighting sleep. (We had a late night last night at the in-laws and she didn't have a nap today, so she was REALLY tired.) She tossed and turned and finally layed her head on the bed. Then, I heard her start to sing to herself.  I couldn't help but smile and laugh to myself.  What a wonderful sound that is!  I have to say that hearing her sing and talk to herself is probably one of my most favorite things.  I don't know what is my most favorite thing though.  Listening to her sing to herself, watching how excited she gets when she sees animal, laughing (and not just the fake laugh, the full on gives herself hiccups, laugh) or telling me "love you mommy" and giving me the sweetest kiss.
I love you, Addison! You bring me so much JOY!!!

How very sweet! I think she has a little fairy voice. It is so sweet to hear. What a great imagination she is developing!

You are such a good mommy to notice the things that really matter, and to appreciate your little girl for the gift that she is. Precious.

I love moments like that. You are so good to be around enough to notice those sweet things that could be easily missed. Have you read "In Praise of Stay-At-Home Moms" by Dr. Laura Schlessinger? You should! I just finished it and you'd love it!
