Delayed Valentine's Day

For Valentine's Day, Randy and I went out to dinner while my mother hosted a Princess Party for her granddaughters. Since Paige was just a little bit too young to enjoy all of the festivities, we left her with my sister in law. My mother made heart shaped pizzas for the little princesses for dinner at her party. Addison had wanted to make them for dinner since then. I told her that we can have a family date night on a night when her dad was home from work.
It turned out that tonight was the night.
Addison is the best little helper in the kitchen. She helped me cut out all the pizza dough into hearts and put the toppings on the pizzas.

They don't quite look like hearts at this development/baking stage, but they tasted all heart-y and full of love!
Addison did a great job helping me. Don't these look delicious? I know your mouth is watering!
Now, all I need to do is teach Addison how to load the dishwasher and wash pans, then I will be all set!

What a fun idea! I've never thought to use cookie cutters for dough. I'll have to try it some time, as if I ever make stuff like this. ;)

Little Addi really does enjoy helping. Your pizzas look delicious. You guys can make pizza for me anytime.

I had so much fun with Addi at the Princess Party! I could not believe that she ate her entire pizza! I'm glad you guys had as much fun making your pizzas as we did!

Those pizzas are so clever! What did you use for the crust? And, I love that you have family date nights!

Deon - I used the Pillsbury Thin Pizza Crust that you can find in the biscuit section of the grocery store. Just roll it out and use it or you can use cookie cutters to make fun shapes.
