Cake Decorating, Pt. 2

This week, I came to cake decorating class a little bit more prepared. I was adamant that I was not going to make the same mistakes as last week!

I can not for the life of me figure out the "Wilton Rose" though. I can get the base down, but the tip is driving me CRAZY!
Every week we learn a couple more techniques. This week we learned how to make cute little drop flowers (my mom is really good at these!), shells, figure piping (heads and faces). I decided to make a clown cake.
Even before I left the house, Addison saw the clown heads and started saying "My clowns! My clowns!" (With a two year old, everything is "Mine, mine, mine"!)

Addison was so excited when I got home. She couldn't wait to look at the cake! I am surprised that she didn't demand cake at that very moment!
Here's hoping that next week turns out as well as this week!

Stay tuned for next weeks installment of cake decorating for dummies with Jenifer!

Jen, That looks great. I'll bet Bret would want a piece of that. I know I do.

The cake looks great! Good job! Did you flaunt it in Bret's face? I totally would've! "Here, Bret! Want to eat some clowns?"

Your clown cake is so darn cute! You are much better at decorating cakes than you give yourself credit for!

Great job, Jen! I've always wanted to take a cake decorating class. Too bad we don't live closer so I could go w/ you! I thought your first cake was awesome, too, by the way!

I've always wanted to do their class. You'll have to tell me all about it.
